Valley/San Jose Business Journal. The Silicon Valley/San Jose Business
Journal recognized Wyse and displayed the company's products during the 2008 Emerging Technology Award reception on December 4, 2008. Collaborative Processing Architecture
Makes the Difference
As desktop virtualization and cloud computing continue to gain momentum, Wyse thin clients are setting the standard for end user experience at the desktop. However, this enhanced experience can come at a significant price – larger datacenters to process the richer data. Wyse saw this trend years ago, and developed collaborative processing architecture (CPA) that intelligently divides the workload between the server and client, reducing the need for larger servers, while delivering the best thin client experience yet. CIOs and IT administrators can be assured that end users can successfully access and run rich cloud-based applications at the highest fidelity and with the greatest experience – without forcing tons of additional infrastructure.
CPA is built-in to the Wyse virtualization software suite that works with Wyse thin clients and the Citrix® ICA® and Microsoft® RDP protocols to significantly improve user experience. Unlike protocols that replace ICA or RDP, Wyse’s approach adds functionality, but shifts the processing workload to the client CPU when appropriate. Competing thin clients with small or no client CPU either can’t handle multimedia, or often require a special protocol to deliver it, but typically use the datacenter CPU to render video or sound content. That architectural approach slows performance for all users, and requires the purchase of additional cloud server infrastructure to correct.
CPA is a powerful, exclusive feature of Wyse’s virtualization software and Wyse thin clients. This advanced architecture is what's meeting the enterprise needs of customers and enhancing end user experience in virtualized and cloud environments without negatively impacting datacenter size. National Veterinary Associates Success Story
National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is the largest private owner of free-standing veterinary hospitals in the United States. Zilberman and his team designed and implemented a new infrastructure that takes advantage of the cost savings and manageability of Wyse thin computing. Each NVA practice, small or large, now has the same configuration: one server, Wyse thin clients, and a local SQL Server database that updates NVA’s SQL Server nightly to support data aggregation and reporting. A third-party vendor manages backups for each of the sites.

Hilton Reservations Experiences Dramatic Results by Upgrading to Wyse Thin Computing
Hilton Hotel's Reservations and Customer Care Group has significantly reduced its call center costs and improved its customer service quality by implementing Wyse thin clients for its work-at-home program and call center staff.
