How to do Federal Business with Wyse Technology
Wyse Technology has made it easy for our partners to sell Wyse thin clients to the US government. We have also taken major steps to make Wyse thin clients more attractive to Uncle Sam, as well. Because not everyone sells to the Federal Government in the same way, we have established four ways you can pursue these sales, independently or in partnership with Wyse.

How to Sell Wyse Thin Clients to the Federal Government
There are four ways in which you can acquire TAA-compliant Winterm products for resale to the Federal Government.
- Wyse GSA Schedule - The easiest way to sell to the Federal Government is through the Wyse GSA Schedule. By doing so, you are able to sell to the Federal Government at the lowest possible price. To take advantage of this option, you must refer the opportunity to Wyse, in return for which Wyse will handle all logistics-ordering, shipping, billing, collections - and, so long as you stay involved with the sale, pay you a commission. You may continue to be the lead service provider in support of the opportunity, as well.
( You must be a Wyse Authorized Partner to receive Federal Government sales assistance from Wyse. If you are not a partner, please complete our Wyse Partner Program Application today.)
To take advantage of this option, you will need to register your Federal opportunity at the earliest possible moment with Wyse in the password-protected Wyse Authorized Reseller section . This way, you avoid any distributor or other mark-ups, and guarantee that your Federal customer gets the lowest published price available from Wyse. Product sold off this schedule is FOB destination, so Wyse pays freight, in the lower 48 states. With the Wyse GSA Schedule, all you have to do is make the sale and be the service provider of choice to your customer. Wyse ships and delivers the product to your customer, invoices them, and takes over collections. For this, Wyse pays you a 6% commission. For further details, contact us at (310) 265-4456, or email us at federal@wyse.com
- Distribution - Wyse TAA-compliant products are available for purchase through your Wyse Authorized Distributor in the United States. Two things to know about buying TAA product through your distributor: First, all TAA-compliant Winterm products have a 30-day delivery window. We build to order. Second, TAA-compliant Winterm products may have slightly different pricing than their commercial, non-TAA counterparts, and they do not qualify for Wyse government/education discount programs. Please be certain to request the appropriate TAA SKU from your distributor.
- Direct from Wyse - If you and your opportunity qualify, you may be able to buy TAA-compliant products direct from Wyse. Check with us at (310) 265-4456, or email us at federal@wyse.com to see if this avenue is appropriate for you. This will depend both on the size and timeliness of the opportunity, resolution of any channel conflict issues that might arise, and your creditworthiness.
- Letters of Supply, IDIQ, etc. - There are other ways to sell to Federal agencies, and Wyse is prepared to participate in every one, on a case-by-case basis. If you have such an opportunity, contact the Wyse Federal Sales Manager to investigate how you and Wyse can best work together in areas such as offering Wyse products on your own GSA Schedule, as part of an IDIQ, or other contract vehicles.
How Wyse Thin Clients are Ready to Sell to the US Government
Wyse has taken the following steps to make its products more saleable to the Federal Market:
- Wyse GSA Schedule - Wyse has set up a GSA schedule, which is open to any authorized Wyse partner who registers and refers a Federal opportunity to Wyse. For involving us in the deal and letting us take over the logistics of ordering, billing, collection, and shipping, we'll pay you a commission. As a result, you can easily sell to the Federal Government without having a GSA Schedule of your own.
- TAA Compliance - Compliance with the Trade America Act (TAA) is required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). It is built into government purchasing contracts such as GSA and IDIQ contracts. TAA requires that products be assembled within the United States or from an approved country list. Except for the Winterm 3730LE and the Winterm 8360SE, all Wyse thin client models, as of July 1, 2002, can be delivered compliant with the terms of the Trade America Act. Wyse TAA-compliant thin clients have different part numbers from the standard commercial Winterm thin clients, because they undergo additional costs and attention required to make them TAA-compliant. Nevertheless, they have the same features, the same reliability, and the same price as the commercial versions of Wyse products. A chart of the Wyse thin client products, their commercial part numbers, and their TAA part numbers, is available in the password-protected Wyse Authorized Reseller section.
- Section 508 Compliance - Wyse thin client are accessible to the handicapped and compliant with the FAR requirement that, Federal procurement officials must try to purchase information technology that is accessible for use by disabled. Visit the Federal Section 508 web site or www.wyse.com/accessibility to learn how Wyse products are assistive technology ready
- Dedicated Federal Sales Team - Wyse has established a Federal Sales team structured to help Wyse and its partners sell products only to the US Federal Government. If you have a Federal opportunity, and seek Wyse assistance in making the sale, you should contact us at (310) 265-4456, or email us at federal@wyse.com. All Federal sales activity with Wyse needs to go through the Federal Sales team in order to qualify for the special programs and support Wyse is bringing to the Federal arena.
