Wyse Warranty Statement

Wyse warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one or three years after the date of purchase. Refer to the specific limited warranty card, which is shipped with each product, for exact warranty terms and conditions. Click here to see a copy of the 1-year or 3-year warranty card.

Date of purchase will be determined by a valid proof of purchase. The criterion for a valid proof of purchase is that it must be machine printed and include the following information:
  • Name and address of purchaser
  • Purchase date
  • Model number(s) of product(s) purchased
  • Serial number(s) of product(s) purchased
In the event that a valid proof of purchase is not available, the warranty period will be determined by the date of manufacture. Date of manufacture is based on a date-coded serial number printed on the product label (usually found on the bottom or side of each thin client).

Registering Your Warranty

Wyse provides you with a convenient method of registering your Desktop or Mobile Thin Client terminal/s via the Internet using our new Self Service Portal. Although registration is not a prerequisite for obtaining warranty service it will greatly simplify the process whenever service is required.  However to ensure that your warranty starts on your date of purchase registration is highly recommended. It is required for the purchase and activation of warranty extensions.

Benefits of registering your product using our Self Service Portal 
  • Warranty starts on the actual date of purchase not the date of manufacture.
  • Service contract keys are easily transferred to registered products.
  • At a glance you will see when warranties expire for all registered products.
  • For some models, registration provides you with free OS upgrades, Wyse ThinOS as an example, for a period of time after your date of purchase.
  • To register your thin clients with a 1- or 3-year warranty just fill out the on-line registration form at http://support.wyse.com/selfservice.html and click on the submit button.

DOA Policy

The DOA policy is a program provided to end-users and managed by our resellers and distributors. The DOA period commences on the original date of purchase. In the event that you encounter a unit failure within the first 30 days of ownership please contact your distributor or reseller for a replacement unit. This DOA policy may vary by region.

In cases where a reseller has gone out of business or a reseller cannot or will not support the customer, Wyse will do our best to help on a case by case basis.
