TOPIC: HOW TO ENABLE Wy60 TO PASS NULL'S IN PCTERM DATE: 3/27/92 PRODUCT: WY60 THE ISSUE: The KIMTRON terminal passes null's by default, Wy60 does not. OVERVIEW: All other Wyse terminals that support PCTERM personality will pass Null's to printer by default as does the KIMTRON pc terminal. The Wy60 does not. RESOLUTION: While in the PCTERM personality on the Wy60 you must send down an escape sequence to the terminal to tell it to stop suppressing null's. Null suppress off(pass null's) ESC v = Null suppress on(don't pass null's) ESC v < This must be sent every time the mode is changed or the terminal is turned off. NOTE: Only use these commands with the Wy60. Using these commands on other wyse terminals in PCTERM personality can cause the terminal to change to a TEKTRONIX emulation. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= DISCLAIMER -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This information is intended to inform WYSE personnel and WYSE customers of certain issues in a timely fashion.
