TOPIC: ASCII different PRINT STATUS codes DATE: 08/22/89 PRODUCT: WY-60, WY-370, WY-85 THE ISSUE: Conflict -- WY60 reports different "Printer Ready" Codes OVERVIEW: Some operating system, particularly VMS will check the terminal's AUX port for a printer with an ESC [?15n. These terminals will respond with an ESC [?10n or "Printer Ready" message, even if there is nothing attached to the Aux port. RESOLUTION Your only option to change this response would be to tie pin 3 to pin 20 on the Aux port. This will return an ESC [?11n or "printer busy" message. This is a hardware related problem that doesn't exist on the WY99GT, WY150 or WY160. These terminals have the capability of sending an ESC [?13n or "no printer connected" message. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= DISCLAIMER =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This information is intended to inform WYSE personnel and WYSE customers of certain issues in a timely fashion.
