TOPIC: Terminal locks up in ADDS A2 personality DATE: 08/14/89 PRODUCT: WY-60 THE ISSUE: Terminal stop transmitting after receiving XON command (ADDS) OVERVIEW: Upon receiving the sequence, Control P, Control S (position cursor at column 14), the terminal will not send any data until after it has received an X-on command (Control Q). RESOLUTION The ADDS A2 terminal does not process Control S and Control Q (X-on X-off) as handshaking characters; the WY60, in an ADDSVP A2 mode does if the XMT Handshake field is set to XON/XOFF. Consequently, the WY60 not only processes the cursor addressing sequence, but it also responds to the Control S portion of the command. Solution: Go in to setup under the F4 COMM menu and set XMT HANDSHAKE=NONE. Other Occurrences: The WY60, WY99GT, WY150, WY120, WY160 and WY370 terminals, in the ADDSVP A2, ADDSVP60, DG200, 210 and PC-Graphics emulations. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= DISCLAIMER =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This information is intended to inform WYSE personnel and WYSE customers of certain issues in a timely fashion.
