| Back to the Future with Thin Clients
TechTarget IT Briefing, September 2004
Abstract
Client computing has been a staple of the industry
for many years, offering a practical, useful model for delivering
applications to users that has been widely adopted by enterprises.
Depending on which industry pundits you listen to, client computing
is either a rising industry star or the last gasp of a dying technology.
This paper presents the case that client computing still has a very
significant place in the enterprise. It also examines where client
computing fits in a modern organization and what context makes sense
when making comparisons with other technologies.
