Installing WintermTM 9 series Firmware using Rapport Scripts – ReadMe
Thank you for your interest in Winterm™ 9 series Firmware. For your convenience, the firmware comes with Rapport scripts that you can use to easily update your thin client firmware.
Note: There may be an additional Rapport script packaged in the .exe files.
Purpose of this
Documentation
The purpose of this documentation is to provide information on how to use
the Rapport scripts to install the Winterm™ 9 series Firmware. Before
you use the Rapport scripts, ensure that you know the Rapport version and
the Winterm™ 9 series version that you are currently running. You must
use the correct Rapport script for your versions of Rapport software and Winterm™
9 series when installing firmware.
Note: When performing a mass distribution of a custom device image created with Rapport software, the source device image will require unique preparation prior to creation and distribution. Rapport’s Get Image option also requires unique preparation prior to this operation. Please contact the device manufacturer for more detailed information.
Using Rapport
Scripts for the WintermTM 9 series Firmware
To install (push) the software onto your thin client, point Rapport software
to the script of the firmware that you want to install and click on the script
name (the .exe files may contain an additional Rapport script). Note that
the script can be used with Rapport software versions 4.4 or 4.4.1 while installing
firmware onto Winterm™ 9 series Thin Clients.
Note: The target thin clients to be imaged will preserve their computer name and terminal services client access license throughout the imaging process.
Refer to the following table when installing (pushing) firmware onto a Winterm™ 9 series Thin Client:
| Rapport Version | Winterm™ 9 series Version | Script to Use |
| 4.4 or 4.4.1 | Any | push_<model>_<build>_<flashsize>.rsp |
Not Using Rapport
Software?
If your Winterm™ 9 series is being upgraded through methods other than
Rapport software, the i2d image file is included in the push directory.
