Wyse Technology's Winterm™ S50 Named a Midmarket Product of the Year by CMP's VARBusiness Magazine

Wyse Technology Thin Client Solution Offers Small to Medium-sized Companies a Low-Cost, Secure and Flexible Alternative to Standard PCs

Wyse Technology, the domain experts in network-centric computing, today announced that Wyse® Winterm™ S50, the smallest and most advanced Linux-based thin client on the market, has been named a midmarket "Product of the Year" by CMP Media's VARBusiness magazine. The Winterm S50 offers small to mid-sized users and administrators a secure and flexible alternative to the standard PC.

VARBusiness, the biweekly magazine that provides strategic insight to technology integrators solicited input from information-technology (IT) vendors and solution providers to determine which products and services were best for midmarket customers - companies with between 100 and 999 employees. Entries were considered and reviewed by VARBusiness editors who selected only 100 of the more than 400 nominated products. Winterm S50 is featured and profiled in the special May 2 VARBusiness "State of the Midmarket" issue.

"Our readers tell us that the middle market is one of the fastest-growing IT categories today," said Robert C. DeMarzo, publisher of VARBusiness. "Wyse's Winterm S50 thin client is one of the products that best meets that segment's needs."

"The Winterm line has led the industry for the past seven years because we are able to offer our customers simple, powerful and adaptable solutions that work as well for customers who have only 30 users as they do for customers who have more than a million," said John Kish, CEO of Wyse Technology. "This recognition from the editors at VARBusiness is particularly gratifying to us because it recognizes our achievements in building top quality products that help SMBs save time and IT resources."
